London, England (1)

Summary

The Notting Hill, Bridget Jones's Diary, Love Actually, and Four Weddings Tour of London are all romantic comedies that explore the ups and downs of relationships. Each film is unique in its own way, but they all share a common theme: the power of love. The Notting Hill is a story of two people who are opposites but fall in love. Bridget is a free-spirited woman who loves to have fun, while Mark is a serious, workaholic lawyer. Despite their differences, they are able to overcome them and fall in love. The Diary of a Young Girl is a story of a young girl's journey to adulthood. Bridget is a fun-loving girl who is not afraid to express her emotions, while her sister is a more reserved person. Despite their differences, the two sisters are able to overcome them and become close friends. Love Actually is a story of love at its best and at its worst. It follows the love stories of several couples over the course of one Christmas. Some of the couples are happy, while others are not. Four Weddings and a Funeral is a story of love at its most complicated. It follows the love story of John and Elizabeth after they are married in a hurry. John is a workaholic who is not interested in having a family, while Elizabeth is a stay-at-home mom who is looking for a new challenge. Despite their differences, they are able to overcome them and have a happy marriage. All of these films explore the power of love and the ways in which it can be difficult to overcome obstacles. They are all enjoyable and heart-warming, and they are a great way to spend a rainy day.

This Romcom Chickflick tour takes us to shooting locations associated with Bridget Jones, Four Weddings & A Funeral, Notting Hill and Love Actually. We will start this tour with a little bit of Bridget Jones and where better place to start than where her flat is, above the pub. Not far away is the site of the legendary fight outside the Greek restaurant & the front door of Daniel Cleaver. Crossing the Thames we'll visit one of the churches in Four Weddings And A Funeral. A short trip on the tube to Portobello Road & the spot where they filmed the book shop & the famous blue door in Notting Hill. We can't climb over the railings but do go to the gardens where Anna and William break into having too much to drink before ending our Notting Hill jaunt by visiting Bella and Max's house. We will finish off this journey through Romcom London by embracing some Love Actually and visiting the home of the newlyweds Peter & Juliet where lovestruck Mark silently declares his love with cue cards.
